2023-12-14T17:19:27-05:00

Murray Shaw (1945-2023) Ed note: It is with great sadness that we note the death of Murray Shaw, one of the Support Group co-leaders for Ottawa.  Murray has been a member of the group for many, many years, and was always willing to talk with all members – new and old – who needed information about WM or to learn more about their options. Besides being a Support Group Leader for the Atlantic Support Group, Ron Ternoway has led the way in multiple clinical trials.  In 2021, he recorded this 15-minute podcast about WM and his journey with it, for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.  "It was such a treat to do this with George Athans, who was once a world champion water skier and a Montreal TV sportscaster", said Ron. Ron has since produced a slide deck, "15 Years a Wallie", giving us a visual way to join him through his journey. Truly an inspiration!
