Update to the Research on Iburtrinib and COVID-19
As a follow up to the article that appeared in Forbes magazine that we distributed last week, we wanted to let you know that yesterday, Blood, the world’s leading haematology magazine, has published an article by Dr. Steve Treon. In the article, Dr. Treon explains the logic and process of ibrutinib’s possible effect on COVID-19. Here is a link to the article. Please scroll down to the pdf. link to the article.
Of extra interest to WMFC members is the reference to the transgenic mouse model which has been through two stages of research that the WMFC has supported with Dr. Treon at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute over the last five or six years. All this appears to be so encouraging.
Most of the masks that WMFC members requested are on their way. A few are still in the production phase, but all will be in the mail in a few days.
Thanks for all the lovely notes that have been received by the WMFC. If there is anything further we can do or information you need, please do not hesitate to be in touch.
Stay home , stay well and pray for heartbroken Nova Scotia.
